Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book?
Because we are limited to 1 or 2 weddings on any given day we recommend booking 6-12months before your date. However we can take bookings up to 3 weeks before the wedding as long as the date is still available.
How do I book?
To book a date we take a £50.00 non-refundable deposit.
Do I need to order in detail when I book?
No, you can book without giving any more information than the date itself.
Do you deliver? How far do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver. Generally anywhere within an hour radius of Glasgow. Charges will apply.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Because I work freelance I am not tied to one address 9-5pm. However, I can usually meet up within 48hours of contact, and can make daytime, evening or weekend appointments. All consultations are free and you are under no obligation to book.
What if I change my mind about the flowers I want?
This is not a problem, you can change your order up until 3 weeks before the wedding.
What if I need to change the date of my wedding?
If your new wedding date is available we will carry your deposit over to the new date.
What if I don't know what style I want?
We have an extensive catalogue of bouquets for you to look through and we are happy to advise you on the different styles available to suit your taste.
I have seen something in a magazine I like, can you replicate it?
Yes, this is not a problem. Just bring allow any images to your consultation.
Do you need colour samples?
No, they are not essential. Although, if you have a particular or unusual colour scheme in mind, they do help.
Is there a risk of the flowers marking my dress?
No, none whatsoever. All pollen is removed when your bouquets are made and the stems will all be dry long before you are handling them.
When do I pay?
After the initial deposit, your final balance is due no later than 2 full weeks prior to the wedding date. You can pay in instalments if you wish.
Do i need to throw my bouquet at the end of the day?
No, you don't. However, it is becoming increasingly popular to purchase a smaller, simpler bouquet to throw.
I am getting married somewhere remote, will I be able to get the flowers 1-3 days beforehand and take them with me?
Generally, we prefer to deliver on the day of the wedding. However, if some reason this isn't possible, there are ways around this. However, buttonholes and corsages are unlikely last more than 24 hours.
We are getting married in church, can we take the flowers with us or do we need to leave them in church?
It is becoming increasingly common to take the flowers with you to your reception venue. However, we would always recommend speaking to your contact at the church as they may be expecting you to leave them and cancel their usual provision.
We have a very small budget can you accommodate this?
Yes, there is always something we can do for nearly any budget.
Do you hire vases for the tables?
Yes, we hire out the goldfish style vases and the narrow lily vase.
We are getting married at Valentine,s Day, Easter, Mother's Day Christmas can you do this?
Yes we can, but it is essential to book early.
Are certain flowers available all year or does it depend on season?
Most flowers are available all year round with the exception of the spring bulbs, i.e. tulips, daffodils, hyacinths etc and Peonies. However price can vary greatly with the different seasons |
